Choice Project- Bakugan

For our Choice Project—where we have to create a model that is printable and will work together in one way or another— I chose to model a Bakugan. Bakugan's are children's toys sold in stores, and they have a multitude of movable parts. They come in a variety of shapes and colors, which gives us a lot of freedom when it comes to modeling it.

We decided to model out Bakugan off of "aquos dragonoid" which is essentially a blue water elemental dragon. We gave our Bakugan a dragon-like head, wings, and horn with similar patterns. We also gave it an emblem: the omega symbol (Ω).

You are able to see how the Bakugan will fit together, there is a small part that serves to connect the head to the body, and allows it to freely move up and down on an axle. The Bakugan should form a ball when all parts are closed, and should be able to stand on its own. We wanted to give our dragon legs as seen in the example above, but we were unable to as we only had a limited time to do this. As you can see we added patterns to the body, head, and wings.

This is the finished product: a 3D printed model that works well together, and has at least 3 moving parts.
